Performs routine cleaning and care of the common areas of the Juvenile Detention Center including maintenance of fixtures and furnishings. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Mops, cleans, and disinfects restroom facilities within department, including walls, floors, doors, and fixtures. Removes trash from waste containers and replaces liners in containers. Restocks supplies in restrooms. Cleans windows and glass surfaces. Sweeps, strips, and waxes floors. Dusts exposed areas on office furnishings and fixtures. Vacuums, cleans, and maintains floor coverings and upholstered furniture. Participates in activies and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed.
Less than High School Diploma/GED. Six (6) months job related experience. Knowledgeable in cleaning process. Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to complete tasks in assigned time.
SALARY: Part-Time, $13.15 per hour, up to 29 hours per week

2) A jailable misdemeanor conviction against the laws of this state, another state or the United States within the past 5 years; a deferred adjudication for a jailable misdemeanor against the laws of this state, another state, or the United States within the past 5 years or current misdemeanor probation or parole
3) Registered as a sex offender under Chapter 62, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure.
