Provides administrative and clerical support to assigned department. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Performs all clerical duties for department. Answers telephone inquiries and/or routes to appropriate person. Provides information as requested and assists other employees, attorneys, and the public. Trains other employees and assists co-workers with duties. Orders and stock supplies. Process incoming and interoffice mail. Notarize documents as needed. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
High School Diploma/GED; Two years job related experience. Good computer and typing skills (minimum 40 WPM). Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials. Good recordkeeping ability and ability to complete tasks in timely manner.
SALARY RANGE: Administrative/Clerical Grade 8, $1,263.20 biweekly ($15.79/hourly) - $1,487.20 biweekly ($18.59/hourly) based on qualifications
