Responsible for supervising the daily operations of the clinic by managing, inspiring, and counseling staff members to ensure smooth operation and appropriate use of resources.  Participates in planning of programs, policies and objectives for work group and department.  Missouri City location.


Supervises the daily operations of the clinic services.  Prepares the clinic staff for responding to emergencies.  Performs tuberculin skin testing (PPD); Collects specimens for TB, STD, HIV and Zika testing.  Performs HIV and STD counseling.  Provides immunizations.  Monitors staff attendance and behavior and provides mentoring, coaching and counseling in collaboration with the Program Managers and Clinical Health Services Director.  Responsible for infection control practices and safety of employees and the public.  Provides public health education to the public, schools, day care centers, healthcare providers and other agencies.  Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.


Associate’s Degree in Nursing and State Certified Registered Nurse.  Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.  Five years experience in public or community health nursing.  Must have verified experience with immunizations.  Good verbal and written communication, supervisory, and organizational skills; ability to deal effectively with the public, and other employees.  Must provide own transportation (and proof of insurance).  First Aid/CPR certification, Defensive Driving, and HIV Counseling training must be completed within one year of hire date.  May be required to work weekends and holidays.


SALARY RANGE: Public Health Grade 12, $2,287.20 - $2,690.40 biweekly based on qualifications
