Overview

Responsible for successful case management services to victims of crime.  Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own and for other departments.

Responsibilities

Conducts initial and ongoing assessments to victims of crime, who are self-referred or referred by the victims liaisons, Women’s Center or District Attorney’s Victim and Crime Division.  Develops Comprehensive service plans that meet the participant and family’s needs, quality management standards and grant parameters.  Maintains all required and needed contacts with participant, family, caregivers, case planner, medical consenter, service providers, collaterals and document accordingly.  Responsible for data collection and reporting to meet requirements of the Criminal Justice Department.  Ensures implementation of best practices for target population.  Works collaboratively with other agencies and social support networks.  Develops resources to support children and families; Delivers interventions as needed and appropriate.  Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local   state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field; Four years of experience providing service coordination for victims of crime.  Good computer skills and proficient in data entry; good verbal and written communication skills.  Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

 

SALARY RANGE: Administrative/Clerical Grade 9, $1,355.20 - $1,596.00 biweekly based on qualifications
