Assist staff with collection, preparation and distribution of various types of incoming and outgoing correspondence for county departments in a timely, efficient, and confidential manner.
Provide mailing and shipping services of materials produced by County departments that consist of determining the type of service needed within specific regulations and guidelines of postal and courier services utilized. These services also include the processing of time sensitive and traceable pieces of mail and packages. Drive to various County buildings in Richmond/Rosenberg to collect and deliver mail and packages for processing. To maintain a secure and safe working environment. Provide other mailroom services such as copying, tabbing, folding, stuffing, labeling, and assisting with parcels as needed.
High School Diploma/GED. Possess a valid Texas drivers’ license and proof of vehicle insurance. Available to work Monday-Friday and can be flexible with work scheduling. A self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload. Ability to follow directions and retain information. Organizational skills required. Experience and knowledge of computers and office equipment. Ability to lift and carry heavy packages and mail safely. Stand for long periods of time. Communicate effectively with the supervisor, other employees, elected officials, and the public.
SALARY RANGE: $9.00/hour; Part-Time, 29 hours per week
