Provides clerical and administrative assistance to the CSCD Department. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Conducts public safety assessments prior to determination of bond and provide the assessment results to the magistrate. Supervises defendants placed on pre-trial supervision to ensure compliance with bond supervision conditions. Responsible for fee collection from defendants on pre-trial supervision. Supervises defendants on electronic monitoring and GPS monitoring; must be able to carry a departmental cell phone, and respond to monitoring violations after hours and on weekends. Prepares, distributes and verifies documents; inputs data into the computer database. Responds to inquiries and/or refers to proper person. Prepares affidavits of non-compliance for supervisor’s approval. Maintains records in an accurate and current manner. Prepares files that appear on court dockets; deliver documents to court, as needed, and provides testimony in court proceedings. Observes the collection of urine specimens from defendants and conducts initial screening of said specimens. Also collects hair specimens from defendants. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
High School Diploma/GED; Associates degree or some college preferred. Two years job related experience. Strong computer and typing skills (Minimum 40 wpm); Good verbal and written communication skills. Must have good interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials; ability to complete assigned projects. Subject to irregular work hours; including weekends & holidays.
SALARY RANGE: Administrative/Clerical Grade 7, $1,264.80 -$1,454.40 biweekly based on qualifications
