Provides administrative and clerical support to the department to ensure effective and productive work flow. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Responds to telephone calls by answering inquiries and/or directing to proper person; greets visitors. Receives open records requests from outside sources, gathers required documentation and forwards to County Attorney for action. Manages and maintains new vendor requests and W-9s which are assessable by both Purchasing and Auditor’s Office. Assists with verification of vendor insurance certificates. Assists with solicitation scanning and maintaining of database. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
High School Diploma/GED. One year job related experience. Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills; typing skills (minimum 45 WPM). Ability to interact and deal effectively with other employees, the public and public officials. Strong organizational skills and good verbal and writing communication skills. Ability to multi-task.
SALARY RANGE: Administrative/Clerical Grade 06, $1,104.00 - $1,298.40 biweekly based on qualifications
