Administrative Assistant for the Clinical Division plays a vital role in the seamless scheduling and coordination of the many daily tasks and events that occur impacting job performance throughout the department, as well as the relationships we hold with our community and allied agencies. The Clinical Division creates and delivers continuing education and certification courses (both internally and externally), conducts quality assurance, ensures skills proficiency, participates in public relations, handles recruitment and new hire testing and training, along with protocol review and development. Supporting the Clinical Division, the work is varied, complex and confidential involving considerable responsibility.
Maintains master employee files and records; prepares paperwork for new hires and processes applications. Responsible for processing Worker’s Comp, FMLA paperwork and Employee Action Forms for department. High quality customer service. Document management for the division. Receive requests, schedule, and coordinate classes, meetings, and events. Assists in ensuring department’s compliance with Texas Department of Health regulations. Responds to telephone calls by answering inquiries and/or directing to proper person; greets visitors. Type correspondence, memos, and documents. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
High School Diploma/GED; Two to three years of experience in related field. Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint). Requires professional verbal & written communication skills, as well as strong computer skills (minimum 35 WPM). Ability to interact effectively with the public and other employee. Ability to complete and prioritize assigned tasks with tight deadline is essential. Possess strong organizational, financial, managerial, accounting and mathematic skills are preferred.
SALARY: Part-Time, $15.00-19.00/hour, based on qualifications, up to 28 hours per week
