Maintains park facilities, grounds and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness of County property. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Mows grass, cuts and sprays weeds on county property. Repairs and replaces park signs and park equipment. Performs minor repairs to park vehicles. Operates heavy equipment as needed. Drives bus to and from special events to transport participants. Repairs and replaces park fencing and performs concrete work. Is held financially responsible for equipment used and uniforms issued. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
High School Diploma/GED; Two years job related experience. Ability to understand and carry out instructions. General working knowledge of and ability to operate required equipment. Good verbal and written communication skills with interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with others. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Valid Texas Drivers License.
SALARY RANGE: Operator/Skilled Trade Grade 5, $1,179.20 - $1,387.20 biweekly or higher based on applicants qualifications
