  • Overview

    Provide administrative and clerical support for department.  Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.



    Monitors and adjusts Vehicle Maintenance/Fleet Management budget to make sure funding is adequate to keep the departments running with the equipment and tools they need.  Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory on parts, equipment and other items when new vehicles arrive.  Trains, supports and assists Parks Clerk and Clerk II duties.  Assists Fleet Manager, Shop Foreman and Lead Upfitter with any of their projects.  Monitors our RTA software system and works with RTA tech support for any problems.  Acquires titles and license plates for County owned vehicles/trailers/equipment.  Processes registration renewals for all County units.  Processes all accounts payable for the department.  Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.


    High School Diploma/GED.  Technical or vocational training preferred.  Five years of job related experience.  Strong typing and computer skills, Microsoft Word and Excel.  (Type minimum 45 WPM).  Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of accepted office practices, good verbal and written communications skills, bookkeeping skills, 10-key calculator and knowledge of purchasing procedures.  Knowledge of vehicles and automotive equipment and vehicle parts.  IMAC Certification and 24-hour on-call.


    SALARY RANGE: Administrative/Clerical Grade 9, $1,409.60 - $1,656.80 biweekly based on qualifications
