JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for creating, preparing, coordinating and implementing systems quality assurance reviews for numerous applications and implementations.  Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department. 

This is a Grant Funded position through September 2023.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creates and executes test cases while leveraging various test heuristics. 
  • Reviews functional/operational requirements and design specifications. 
  • Collaborates with project/business teams to reproduce, analyze, and debug issues. 
  • Advises Project Management and/or Testing Leads regarding requirements and design testability. 
  • Recommends methods for process improvement, detailing strengths and weaknesses of existing and proposed procedures and controls. 
  • Coordinates efforts with automation testing resources. 
  • Facilities UAT process by reviewing project requirement documents, assessing business impacts of systems development, coordinating testing teams and developing and reviewing test scripts to ensure users conduct thorough and careful testing. 
  • Partners with IT teams to ensure testing environments are set up, testing data is loaded and defect resolution is completed promptly before, during and after go live up dates. 
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.  (High School/GED and four years of relevant professional experience in addition to the required four years experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.) 
  • Four years testing analyst/test coordinator experience. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Waterfall, Spiral, Agile methodologies. 
  • Excellent communications skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, employees in other departments, and elected officials. 
  • Good verbal communication, written communication and organization skills required.

 

SALARY RANGE: $30.40 - $38.05 hourly based on qualifications

CLOSING DATE:  Upon filling position
