JOB SUMMARY:

Serves in a part time position performing basic clerical duties in the OFFICIAL PUBLIC RECORDS/VITAL STATISTICS DEPARTMENT.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, index and electronically scan documents accurately and timely.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of documents and data.
  • View and print copies of documents from microfiche/film or electronic media.
  • Receives, and processes inquiries and requests in person, by phone, mail, courier or electronic
  • Retrieves and issues documents in paper or electronic form for the public upon request.
  • Transports documents to other offices.
  • File case binders in numeric sequence.
  • Evaluates and calculates appropriate fees based on established parameters.
  • Collects fees, cashiers, and makes change.

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Three months of clerical experience desired.
  • Strong computer, typing and data entry skills desired.
  • Valid Texas Driver License.

 

SALARY RANGE: $15.00 hourly, up to 29 hours per week

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
